Keep It Raw Records was formed around 2002. Before it became a label (or even a group) it was as an idea from one of the group's founding artists, Tre Da Kid, with the help of another artist/childhood friend, Nino Black. Before they ripped music onto CD's, they made songs on a karaoke machine. As the years passed, the group grew from one person with an idea to nine people fulfilling a dream. The group has produced numerous mix tapes, opened its own recording studio which include; a clothing store, graphic studio and radio station. Cell & Tre' Da Kid co-host the two-hour show titled "Raw Radio" every Thursday from 10pm - 12am. Keep It Raw has also performed at parties and charity events in its hometown of Annapolis including shows in its surrounding cities, Baltimore and Washington D.C.
