A Cut Above Fitness Club was established in 2000 whose primary goal was/ is to reach a more mature clientel in a small,inviting, "home-like" atmosphere unlike the tyoical clinical feel of most gyms. It is geared toward an individual who may have had NO experience previously "working out". Members range in age from 13 to 92 with the average member typically around 40-50. Young men are encouraged to seek membership at Iron Heart Gym in Marfa, TX. or Alpine Fitness in Alpine TX as these gyms are more equiped to deal with "hard core" weight training. A Cut Above does not "staff" however certified trainers are avaiable free of charge for observation or assistance with appointment only.Cooper Clinic Certified trainers are also avaiable for 1/2 hr or 1 hr sessions on fee basis by appointment only
