Rome Specialty Company, Inc. was incorporated in 1926 under New York State laws. As is still the case today, the principal products manufactured were sport and commercial fishing swivels and snaps. Swivels range in size from 12/0 with a 1500 pound test to a size 12 with a 15 pound test. Interlock and Safety snaps are still produced as well as the stronger Coastlock snap. There are also combinations of those snaps and swivels offered. Other popular snaps sold are the Hooked snap, Duo-lock snap and the McRosco Scissor snap. To complete the line manufactured in Rome, New York are Split rings and Butt rings, Sinker eyes, Figure 8s, Leader sleeves (crimps) and Double sleeves.
