My goal is create a custom fly rod for you that will help you be a better fly fisher. Together, we will determine which rod taper will fit your casting style & fishing situation. Then, you will choose from the various options available to create a fly rod that uniquely, personally yours. All bamboo fly rods are made "from scratch" in my shop in southwest Wisconsin and are built to last several lifetimes. All components which make up the rod are of the highest quality. I use only the best Tonkin cane, which is hand-selected especially for your fly rod. Guides and ferrules are wrapped with the finest Pearsall's Royal Hunt & Black silk, unless otherwise specified. I finish all bamboo fly rods with multiple coats of durable spar vanish. Each split cane rod is furnished with two tip sections.
