Katy's Kritters Safe Haven is run by Katy Jacobs. Katy has been volunteering for various animal rescues/shelters for her entire adult life. She has also fostered numerous companion animals including birds, large parrots, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, rats, dogs and cats, etc. She also has an array of experience rehabilitating severely abused, neglected or shut down animals. She has also worked extensively with "the guard dog breeds" and feral cats. She is an active volunteer manager for a local 501c3 Parrot Sanctuary in the twin cities. She has experience with budgies through macaw's. She is a Certified Vet Assistant. She has also been certified in pet nutrition, CPR and First aid for companion animals. She is a rescuer and animal welfarist. She is a current registered foster through The Bond Between and Pets of Destiny. She has a wide array of networks with local rescues, shelters, and various animal welfare organizations. She was a bather when she was younger at a grooming salon.
