The Golden Spoon story began in 1981 as an outgrowth of "Yogurt and Things," a health food store in Tustin, California acquired by Golden Spoon Founder Jeff Barnes in 1980. Within a year, Barnes opted to leave "Things" behind and focus solely on frozen yo g available on the market at the time. Barnes succeeded and sales at his original Tustin store more than doubled within those first few years. In 1983, the Golden Spoon Brand name was born. We are a husband & wife team. We are passionate and hard-working individuals. Our journey began over 20 years ago during our time serving in the U.S Air Force. As Veterans, we learned the quality of our work depends, first and foremost, on the quality of our team. Our goal is to establish a workplace where individuals can enjoy their work environment as well as enjoy the diverse group of customers we serve.
