Dr. Valerie Okehie completed her undergraduate training at University of Maryland College Park where she obtained her bachelor's degree in Physiology and Neurobiology in 2005. Upon graduation, she enrolled in dental school at University of Maryland Baltimore and obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2009. Dr. Okehie completed a one-year General Practice residency at Montefiore Medical Center Bronx, NY in 2010 and then returned to Maryland where she practiced General Dentistry for the next few years. In 2015, she completed a three-year endodontic specialty residency program and successfully defended her thesis, obtaining her certificate in endodontics and a Master of Science degree from University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Dr. Okehie is a Board Certified Endodontist, a distinction that is awarded to less than twenty percent of current endodontic specialists in the United States.
