Dr. Shawn D. Thomas, a native of Pennsylvania, completed his undergraduate studies at Penn State University. He went on to obtain his Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He continued his extensive training at The Eye Institute, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Medical Hospital at Langley Air Force Base, Hampton, Virginia and Katzen Eye Group in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Thomas was the clinical director at INSIGHT LASIK and Refractive Group in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he managed over 20,000 refractive surgery cases in his twelve years of practice. He has also published extensively on refractive surgery and has lectured internationally in his almost 20 years as a treating physician.
