The philosophy behind Spring Lake Compassionate Living is providing assisted living in a home-like setting rather than a large commercial facility that has an institution-like feel. Even upscale and expensive large facilities don't feel home-like. Resident rooms are one of many in a long hallway, they eat in a cafeteria, they see several different care-givers in a day and possibly a dozen or more in a week. At Spring Lake Compassionate Living our residents are part of a small community. Our facility is a home, where six residents live with one full time care giver. They each have a private room but they can keep the door to their room open if they want. They aren't isolated from other people, they eat in a dining room rather than a cafeteria. Finally, they work with only one care-giver per day and they see only four during the course of a week. Our staff knows the residents likes and dislikes, their hobbies, and needs. Our home is about adding a personal touch to assisted living.
