Well, in 1961 dad started logging but before that, my Grandfather logged timber. However, Granddad did not do it for a living. At that time it was something he would do for people on the side. Years later, my dad and his brothers did it for a living. And at present it’s me and my brothers who log.  We have been buying timber on shares for over half a century. We also buy timber for so much on the stump, in other words, so much a board foot, Doyle scale. Clayton Logging office is based out of Pierce City, Mo.
