Quercus Petraea /Sessile is a slow growing oak - because of the premium mineral content of the soil in the Tokaj-Zemplen Forest of Hungary - gives a unique and luxurious taste to the wine. Our family owned and operated cooperage has been manufacturing oak barrels - with high quality craftmanshift - since the early 1960's, based on family traditions. Barrels made in our cooperage have been sold to satisfied customers in Europe and California through distributors, large corporations, however in the last 2 years we have been expanding our factory direct operation, and our barrels became available for winemakers on the East Coast of the United States.
