Jim Davenport started Davenport Architectural Woodworking with a goal to incorporate modern technology and old world craftmanship. In the 1980's Jim began crafting fine furnishings by hand, creating intricate curves from solid wood. Thirty years later he has taken a lifetime of knowledge and adapted it to modern technological processes. Utilizing Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), the design process becomes accessible to manipulations and changes that are not easily achieved outside of the 3D realm. Each project is approached with an artist's eye and an interest to craft a unique living environment for our patron. The talented carpenters on the production floor are not just employees; they are a collection of artisans in the old world sense.
