This started out as just a hobby but turned into something more when people started asking me to make them things. I learned to crochet at my grandmother's knee at the age of 5 and really haven't ever stopped learning new things about it. My other grandmother taught me to knit but I am not as proficient in that handy craft. I enjoy creating new patterns and though 3/4 of the patterns that I have are from books, magazines, and websites there is a solid 1/4 that are my own creations. Seeing a picture of something and then creating my own pattern from the picture.
