At Spectrum Industrial Engraving we run the full spectrum when it comes to engraving and part marking. Ok, bad puns aside, we engrave just about any surface, material, shape, and size. We have engraved four lines of text on parts smaller than a penny. We’ve engraved six foot sheets of glass. We’ve engraved titanium, leather, and everything in between. We specialize in high trough put part marking with fast turnaround, as well as odd ball one of a kind. We have many clients that do most of their part marking in house, but whenever they have a one off, they bring it to us so they don’t have to deal with creating fixtures and jigs. Our engravers are equipped with rotational axis to engrave cylindrical parts. We have variable z-axis heights to accommodate and engrave parts with an atypical geometry. We offer laser engraving in multiple spectral wavelengths enabling us to engrave on a wide range of polymers, metals, fabrics, composite materials, and organic materials. We also offer mechanical engraving with rotary cutters as well as fixed blade engravers giving us even more options of engraving style and technique. We also offer abrasive etching and chemical etching. Lastly, we offer applied engravings. This is where we add material rather than removing material. This is accomplished by coating the part with a silica based powder and fusing it to the metal with the laser. This can also be accomplished by adding a UV curing resin with a pigment. This last process is more akin to a printing process and works very well with plastics as it can chemically bond to the surface of the part. In short, at Spectrum Engraving, we can put a permeant mark on just about anything.
