KiwiMill designs and builds custom scale models that stop people on a trade show floor: cutaway and sectioned models, animated and interactive displays, aircraft, vehicles, facilities, and equipment for aerospace, defense, industrial, and data center clients. Every model is photographed before it ships, and we have never missed a client's show date. The shop traces back to A&M Model Makers, founded in the 1960s, which built models for the Texas oil industry and then aerospace, satellite, and spacecraft models on the West Coast. It moved to New York in the 2000s, Derek Backus became the owner in 2007, and the company was renamed KiwiMill on March 9, 2011. Today it combines CNC, 3D printing, and traditional hand-building, and ships models to clients and events across North America.
