Preparing for the HARVEST Before the harvest can take place, the Church must be revived. Unlike all the glitter and hoopla often seen at controlled revivals, or man-ordained revivals, God-given revival starts with an inward working of the Holy Spirit. Man has perverted the true attributes of God-given revival. Revival from the Lord is a cutting away of the old, dead limbs, a pruning. The fruit to be seen is repentance from dead works, and a recommitted love for Jesus Christ. (2 Pet 3:9)"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is long-suffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." Sometimes it doesn't look like the traditional revival because the church membership decreases. Those who will not surrender but stay focused and press on until the end.
