On any day, 10,000 juveniles are housed in adult prisons and jails. These children lose more than freedom when they enter adult prisons; they lose out on the educational and psychological benefit offered by juvenile-detention faculties.
Music Technology Mentors, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit independent virtual music technology initiative school comprised of students between grades 6-12 from underserved public schools, juvenile court schools, foster care homes, schools with selective admissions, or alternative independent study students from underserved communities throughout California. Music Technology Mentors Independent School is a mentorship and relationship structure that provides leadership, support, career guidance, role modeling, and communication that occurs in the mentoring relationship with students.
Music Technology Mentors Independent School is a special place with a unique culture, where students are prepared for college and for life. Our teachers offer wise guidance every step of the way, from 6th through 12th grade. We offer unparalleled opportunities in academics, music technology, and music performance with prolific cocurricular opportunities.
Music Technology Mentor teachers encourage students to complete their education, make healthy choices and pursue their dreams, we provide the tools that student needs to forge their own path to greatness. Students will have many opportunities to close this gap and ensure the support needed to be optimistic and excited about his or her own life.
