Raising 4 children and many others, playing several instruments, growing up in a home of music, grandparents in Vaudeville and opera, 2 bachelor degrees with minors in psychology, allows me to better understand the musical needs of children and adults. This not only helps in the ability to effectively communicate with students at each lesson, how to motivate and encourage their study and give necessary constructive criticism but also gives me an added gift of reading the person. I believe that each of us has a certain rhythm - i.e., waltz, blues, classical, rock - some have more than one.
