Private violin lessons are typically 30 minutes in length and are offered weekly at the Thatcher-Young Mansion from mid-August through mid-June. Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced violin students from ages 6 and up are welcome. Lessons are currently only $20 per 30 minute lesson. There is no charge for the first lesson which will assess the student's current abilities and make recommendations for further study. This also gives the student a chance to assess his or her compatiblity with Rosemary Hatch's teaching style. Rosemary is always happy to recommend other violin teachers if it is determined that would be best for a student's progress at this point.
