Environmental Health Services licenses and inspects retail food establisments and public swimming pools, registers and inspects commercial and industrial facilities under the Elkhart County Groundwater Protection Ordinance, provides onsite evaluations (soil borings), issues permits for and inspects installation of onsite septic systems, investigates environmental public health complaints, and provides information on a wide variety of environmental health topics.
