The purpose/mission of People First of Island County is; "to assist people of disability to realize and appreciate that they are "people first" and their disabilities are secondary and that they are equal citizens in their communities'." Our goal is; to empower "people" by offering trainings on self-advocacy, inclusion, equality, communication, and much more, we also, provide social events, such as dances, game nights, and other social & community activities which help to build a much needed social support network for our members and their families.
