Our IT services include DSL, Computer Networking, Computer Network Maintenance, PC Repair, and Website Hosting. Keystone Connect was born out of the Dot Com boom. The company started in 1998 in a home in Altoona Pa, by Kirk and Pam Mitchell. Kirk had been observing the emerging new industry and began researching and learning to figure out where he and Pam could get their own piece of it. It all became real when Pam walked into her house one afternoon to find a computer sitting on her dining room table. To say she was upset would be an understatement. While the computer from 1999 has been updated, today Pam can be found running the daily operations and looking for new ways to stay on top of an ever-changing industry. Keystone Connect originally started as an Internet Service Provider. While Keystone Connect did successfully survive the dot com bust, some of the ISP’s began to consolidate and buy out small businesses. In 1999 there were roughly 7000 Internet service providers in the country. Today that number is down to 2300. As the market evolved, so did Keystone Connect. Around 2006 Keystone Connect started focusing on internet marketing services. While they still provided internet access and web hosting, their new bread and butter became services like website design, email marketing, and helping small business become visible through Search Engine Optimization, Keyword Analysis, and other tools. At Keystone Connect, the attitude for learning and growing with the market, instead of against it is central. As the marketing world is constantly developing, Keystone Connect stays poised to ride the waves of change and emerge stronger and ready to serve its clients for the long haul.
