Heartland Internet Media Networks was created in August 2011 as an Internet broadcast media group with the potential of expanding into a larger media group. The first station to become part of the group was WWPM MediaNet, which began broadcasting in 2008. WWPM MediaNet also works in a partnership with 21:21 WorldWide Music, a music promotions group. HIMN also oversees the operation of the Great Plains Independent Media Networks Association, which is an independent media organization further promoting independent media ventures and networks. In 2012, HIMN will be offering web reselling as an additional revenue stream.
