In 2012, the company was purchased by Magus Risk Solutions, LLC, and in early 2014, together with a group of other investors, its President and Managing Partner, Michael A. Garguilo brought private equity investor capital to the company and formed a new (holding) company, National Program Brokerage, LLC, which acquired NPM to fund its future growth. With its subsequent purchase of Leverett Insurance Group in June of 2014, NPM added deep brokerage resources in many other classes of business including energy, transportation, real estate, manufacturing, retail, habitational, construction, contracting, non-profits and professional service firms. Today, NPM and its affiliates write over $400 million in written premium annually in almost every class, line of business and SIC code.
