Alberto Munoz is not your typical eviction attorney. He was born in the small town of Emiliano Zapata Nexatengo, in Puebla, Mexico. Population 819. At the age of seven he and his family left Nexatengo and embarked on a journey that ultimately led them to South Central Los Angeles. He was the first in his family to graduate from high school. While in high school he worked in sweatshops ironing dresses and making t-shirts in the downtown garment district. After attending Santa Monica College and being exposed to the writings of Oscar "Zeta" Acosta, Mr. Munoz decided to become an attorney. He transferred to UC Berkeley and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology in 2005. After working with a eviction defense non-profit Alberto has worked on thousands of eviction cases and has more experience, and success, than almost any other lawyer in landlord / tenant law.
