I do a lot of Bankruptcy work, custody, adoption, child support, family, and divorce law, and a lot of criminal defense. I have 36 years of legal experience in these fields. I also do personal injury cases, wills and estates, debt collection, name changes, DUI and traffic cases, and defend civil lawsuits. My intent is to provide high quality service at a reasonable cost. I do free telephone consultations and free office consultations for promising cases. In 1975 I opened my practice in Lexington, Kentucky and worked there until 2004 when I moved to nearby Georgetown in Scott County, Kentucky. I was one of three nominated to succeed Judge Keller as Fayette Circuit Judge when he was elected to the Kentucky Supreme Court. My family has a long history in the legal profession. I have a doctorate in mathematics from the University of Illinois and taught math for 12 years at the college level before practicing law. In 2008 I received an M.A. in History from the University of Kentucky and have a book published on state sovereign immunity.
