Summit Engineering and Design, LLC offers multi-discipline engineering and design services to the marine, power and refinery industries. Our staff consists of several highly experienced and skilled engineers and designers. We have 7 licensed Professional Engineers out of a staff of 25. We have been actively involved in the use of 3D Laser scanning since 2001. 3D laser scanning is the leading edge method of gathering very accurate field data which greatly improves the accuracy of our mechanical and piping design. Summit owns two FARO Photon 120 laser scanners and was the first to take delivery of a FARO Focus3D, the latest model scanner available from FARO. We also use advanced design tools such as AutoPlant for 3D piping design and INTools for instrumentation design.
