WTSI designs and builds embedded and wireless device solutions for the transportation, entertainment, manufacturing and health & fitness industries. These projects range from a quad-band cell phone detection and jamming device for preventing distracted driving, to a reliable and secure remote-control system for triggering detonations during motion-picture production, to consumer devices for sports training and health monitoring, to wireless devices for communicating in severe-multipath industrial environments. Recent device designs target low-power motor control, Zigbee-based sensor monitors, and Bluetooth low energy (BTLE) wireless communications.
