Facebook is an online social networking service based in Menlo Park, California. At age 23 Mark Zuckerberg, founded Facebook while studying psychology at Harvard University. Previously, Zuckerberg had already developed a number of social-networking websites for fellow students, including Coursematch, which which allowed users to make class selection decisions based on the choices of other students and also to help them form study groups. In 2003 he wrote Facemash, where you could rate people's attractiveness. A couple days after launching Face Mash, the site was shut down a few days later by the Harvard administration. Zuckerberg was accused by the administration with breaching security, violation of copyrights, and violating personal privacy. He faced expulsion, mainly because he had obtained private information from school systems to create content. Eventually, the charges were dropped.
