Modern Woodmen of America was founded in 1883. Ever since then, we have been helping families fulfill their financial needs, and we have been making an impact in communities nationwide. Today Modern Woodmen is one of the country's largest fraternal financial services organizations. As a fraternal, Modern Woodman exists for the benefit of our members. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for our members. We do this by supporting: 1) Quality family life through many benefits available to members. 2) Community Impact with social, educational and volunteer opportunities for members and children, and community support through member-sponsored fundraisers and volunteer projects. 3) Financial security. Modern Woodmen also offers free Youth Ed programs.
