Brian McCoy's grandfather, John O. McLean, invented the backwash water filter in 1955 and founded McLean Engineering, Inc. in 1971. Brian worked for McLean Engineering, Inc. for 12 years as a master service technician for the MacCLEAN Iron System. Brian McCoy founded McCoy Water Filter Inc. and is a Virginia State Licensed Plumber. We are the only water treatment company that holds Brian McCoy's patent on entire water treatment methods: The McCoy Iron Removal System & McCoy Sulfur Elimination System. Our company also maintains countless McLean Engineering, Commonwealth H2O, & American Environmental water treatment systems in the area. We carry all service repair parts for systems up to and over 30 years old. Service parts are new and are still being manufactured.
