Tara Lynne's writing career follows several years in marketing management. She resigned from salaried life in 2010 and has been running her writing business ever since. Tara Lynne writes search engine-optimized copy for the web, also referred to as SEO content. She is quick to explain the latest online search algorithm changes to clients and is a requested speaker at writers conferences. In 2013, Tara Lynne presented top blogging practices at the Times Square headquarters of the American Society of Journalists & Authors. Her freelance magazine articles have surfaced in dozens of markets for more than a decade, including Blue Ridge Country, Grit, Draft, and AirTran Airways’ GO Magazine. She particularly enjoys agro-journalism, reporting on the future of camel dairies or how food retailers can position items in the produce section to increase sales. She donates to multiple charities annually and has volunteered more than 2,000 hours cumulatively. She has donated time and resources to festivals like Raleigh's poetrySPARK and Asheville's Wordfest. In 2012, she donated a week of her time in Maine re-building frost-heaved boardwalks alongside the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service through a volunteer vacation with the American Hiking Society. Tara Lynne instructs writing classes in North Carolina through two groups she founded: Triangle Writers and Asheville Writers. She is also co-organizer of Living Poetry, the largest poetry group in Raleigh. Tara Lynne published three poetry books and the first (and only) guidebook to the Bonnaroo Music Festival. She is currently seeking representation for her short story collection. Tara Lynne enjoys staying a step ahead. She graduated high school a year early, then did the same in college. She received her bachelor’s degree from Stony Brook University when she was 19. Tara Lynne has written over 2,200 pages of web content and more than 150 articles. She has never missed a deadline.
