Established in 2002. The Towne Square Mall opened in 2002 in a strip mall that previously held a Walmart. The mall allows startups to develop their businesses in a collaborative environment, or established businesses to focus on their customers rather than dealing with all the responsibilities of managing a building. Their goal is to promote locally owned and operated businesses here in Hernando County. Guests to the mall can shop with a large variety of local small businesses without leaving the comfort of the clean, spacious, air conditioned building.
