In 1999 James encouraged his youngest son, Craig, who was in the process of leaving the military, to come on-board with him. Craig began learning the ins and outs of managing the family business. Craig learned a simple practice, do the job correctly the first time and treat people with respect. Burton Enterprises was incorporated in 2000. The company has been blessed to have a wonderful group of employees, most of whom have been with the company more than two years. Each person has his or her own assigned building; it is believed that this creates a personalized cleaning environment as well as precise accountability.
