The business was purchased by Liz Loew in 1978 although it was operational several years before this. Liz had worked for the company helping the owners develop the brand new concept of a professional maid service in the Columbus area. At that time this was the first company of this type to offer this service. The owners had other careers and seeing that Liz had poured so much of her sweat equity into the building of this business, they offered to sell Mini-Maids to her and she jumped at the opportunity! On March 11, 1978 she officially purchased Mini-Maids Services. Liz spent many years cleaning the homes, talking to the clients, training staff, listening to what the customers want or need and working the business. To this day Mini-Maids is not a huge corporation. It is a small home town, home grown company that enables us to control the quality of our service and not out grow our ability to meet our customers needs and expectations. March 11, 2013 Mini-Maids will be celebrating their 35th Anniversary along with their recent announcement of the Consumer Choice Award.
