In addition, they work to reduce waste in waterways by encouraging proper disposal and reduce the amount of wasted toilet paper. S.A.C. is a biodegradable plastic bag, when disposed of, is converted into carbon dioxide, water and biomass by microorganisms. Ordinary plastics simply do not degrade for hundreds of years, therefore much of the plastic waste ends up in landfills or even worse as litter. This has become a serious economic, social and environmental problem.
