Clay Smith, LCSW has been a therapist for 13 years. He worked in Juvenile Corrections, a therapeutic boarding school, and in an outpatient therapy clinic. While he still enjoys and works in therapy, he feels drawn towards helping people reach beyond "just functioning" and loves to help youth and young adults find more meaning and direction in life. Coaching without third party governing boards and financiers cuts out a lot of useless paperwork that nobody reads and allows for more creativity and follow through. Learning to enjoy effort, embrace challenge and seek meaning and fulfillment takes awareness, accountability and work. Clay loves to help people accelerate this process and get on paths that make them excited to be alive! Most sessions are done over Zoom. However if you live in the Boise, Idaho area, Clay offers a unique in home service at an extra cost if you believe it to be more beneficial. Sessions can also be done while hiking, fishing, skating, paddle boarding, biking, etc. Often times recreation is needed to build necessary rapport.
