After a long career in the advertising and communications industry, as a broadcaster on and off-camera, voiceover actor, writer, producer, director and owner of a small studio for radio and TV voiceover production, Mike transitioned into the real estate investment and project funding arena, where he was assisting major infrastructure projects internationally to find money. He took his first dive into commercial real estate in 2006, and he rode the dive in the real estate and banking markets down during the Great Recession. While learning about the global economic crisis and the behind-the-scenes workings of the major international banks, he was mentored by a private European banker who works at the highest levels with the banks and central banks. With a relationship directly to the opportunities available to ultra-high net-worth individuals and corporations through his mentor, he has successfully brought to the table several millionaire and billionaire investors with the assets necessary to participate. He also has as many as 63 projects around the world varying in size from $350-Million to 63-Billion in costs, still seeking the funding.
Because of the inordinate amount of time that these projects take to fund, in late 2013 Mike focused his attention to the local real estate markets, and integrated a system for raising private investor money from individuals, then buying distressed properties in the area, supervising the rehabilitation work on the properties, and then reselling them at their new fair market value, thus creating a profit from which to repay the investors a very aggressive double-digit return.
Michael Weiner is 58 years old, lives in Olney, Maryland with his wife of 32 years and grown children. He has previously held Maryland Real Estate Agent licenses, Mortgage Originators License, and Insurance agent licenses. Along with a BS in Business and Radio/TV/Film from the University of Maryland, he earned his Master in Business Administration specializing in marketing, and has a long history of business ownership, including 40 years in the marketing, advertising and business development arena, with the last 8 years facilitating very large infrastructure and humanitarian projects worldwide as PreConstruction Catalysts, Inc. He is also appointed as an Investment Advisor to the Governor Inspector General of the International Organization for Economic Development (IOED), a United Nations activity.
