The quick sale, "make as much money as I can now" philosophy, does not exist here. I work with my customers to ensure they call back again and again. For example, even in these trying times of constant "cost of business" increases (fuel costs, raw material costs, etc.), I try to absorb shippiing and delivery fees whenever possible. I have set reasonable minimum purchase amounts, which allow us enough flexibility to say "Free Shipping Included On This Order!" When the customer uses a lot of a particular product anyway, they can buy the minimum or more, and save on shipping. Definite win/win situation!!
