R.L. Rasmus Auctioneers, Inc. was founded in 1981 to provide asset recovery and auction services to the legal, banking and business community. Emerging out of the technology and used equipment business, Rasmus has been unconventional in its approach to asset liquidation. 1985 Rasmus began "theater style" auction sales, eliminating the old-fashioned "walk-around" approach used by most auctioneers. In 1996 Rasmus was amongst the first auctioneers to post events online for preview. 1997 Rasmus began posting auction catalogs online for interactive online bidding. In 2003 Rasmus conducted its first internet only auction. n 2006 Rasmus determined that all liquidation would be conducted by internet only auction. Rasmys now conducts over 300 internet only auctions per year.
