Zigi (Volunteer Coordinator, Board Member, Fundraising / Outreach Committee, Ad Sales) has lived in Santa Cruz County for over 30 years and is a graduate of Cabrillo College and UCSC. Zigi is her nickname, acquired from her short time at Bonny Doon after living most of her young childhood in southern California. She has held many local jobs in coffeeshops, business admin., and film/video production. In 1993, Zigi was introduced to a coffeehouse owner and soon after provided management services to him and his business. In 2003, she took advantage of a partnership opportunity where she opened and managed a new store called Coffee Cat in Scotts Valley. She has also worked for Peets Coffee and Tea located on Pacific Ave. in downtown Santa Cruz and New Leaf Community Market westside store and India Joze Cafe. Zigi has volunteered and worked for New Music Works starting in 2005, doing bookeeping, event planning and concessions. Musically, she played Clarinet in the Santa Cruz High marching band. Her family is active performing music locally with the Rayburn Brothers Band and the Santa Cruz Youth Chamber Strings. In Zigi's own words "Music in Santa Cruz is eclectic and varied, constantly redrawing the line we call mainstream. I am delighted to contribute to our diverse culture."
