Zarephath Care Foundation (ZCF) is a nonprofit organization with 501(c)(3) status, a tax-exempt not-for-profit that serves those in need. In 2006, ZCF was organized and mandated to provide services in Africa. Although ZCF has primarily worked in Africa, with the reality of the growing hunger and the increasing number of children in need of food in the USA, ZCF in early 2012 (in partnership with local organizations) have implemented a program to provide food for those in need. In addition, ZCF will advocate for the hungry and educate the public about hunger-related issues. Through a combination of government programs and partnerships with other County nonprofit charities, ZCF is now focusing on reducing child hunger in Frederick, Maryland.
