Wakefield Oil Express Lube & Wash is a locally owned and operated family business. They opened for business on March 2, 2015 after changing over from PitStop Lube N Wash, which had sat vacant for a couple years. Jayton Wakefield would drive past the closed down PitStop and always think about how good it would be for the North side of Roswell to have a local oil change and car wash business, giving options instead of national retailers. When the for sale sign came up on the property Jayton's father, Wendell, helped to negotiate a deal. Then, beginning in February 2015, work began to change over from Pennzoil branded PitStop to Mobil branded Wakefield Oil Express Lube & Wash!

Owners Robert and Denise Menagh moved to Roswell, NM, from the Chicago South Suburbs in 1993 to purchase the car wash business at 2806a N. Main St., and operate the 2nd location at 1808 S. Main for his parents. With the help of Vickie and Vern Menagh, and Bob's brother Lou and Vern, as well as nephews Shaun Menagh, Brandon Menagh and Addeus Kasuboski, we have built up our strong customer base over the past 20 years. In 2007, we built our newest location at 1806 S. Main St., called Galaxy Auto Wash. Galaxy includes a 2-bay Automatic, Vacuum and Shampooer, and adjoining access to all the amenities at the 1808 S. Main location. We are grateful to the Roswell community, and coming soon to our 1806 S. Main location, the SABER by Belanger, Inc., brand new automatic car wash in Bay #2!!!
