Bossier City Harley-Davidson is co-owned by Bradley Mayo and T. Wade Culbertson, Jr. The two were college roommates and made their success with a CPA firm here in Shreveport, which they ran together for 20 years. With the idea that they wanted to “do something fun with their lives”, they decided to buy Wallace Harley-Davidson from James Wallace.
Mr. Wallace sold the Shreveport dealership to the pair in May of 1997. Soon the two expert number crunchers had convinced the Motor Company to let them build a second dealership in Bossier. Getting this kind of permission from Harley- Davidson Motor Company in Milwaukee is no easy task. The process can take anywhere from 2-5 years and requires the writing of a novel-like business plan that must convince the company of the area’s need and desire for their product. And on March 1st, 2001, Bossier City Harley-Davidson was born.
After several years at the original Bossier City location on East Texas St, Bossier City Harley-Davidson opened a new dealership in July of 2008 right off the I220 Loop and Benton Rd. It’s a beautiful 18,000 sq/ft facility featuring a huge showroom, high-tech service department, and ample parking for all those cool customer bikes. The Shreveport business has now consolidated with the new Bossier City location.
The dealership has earned Harley-Davidson’s most coveted award, the Gold Bar & Shield, for 2008 and 2009, and the Silver Bar & Shield in 2014. This award is given to the top 25 Harley-Davidson dealerships in the United States. Bossier City Harley-Davidson earned the award based on an evaluation of customer service, customer satisfaction, and various operational measures.
Be sure to make a trip to Bossier City Harley-Davidson and see what they’re all about. You’ll be treated like one of the family.
