Mother Nature's One of a Kind art was started in 1997 in Ben Lomond, CA. As a result of a serious work injury which left me 100% disabled, the need for a new type of work was necessary as well as a way to stop my fall into severe depression. My partner in his infinite wisdom, decided that one way I could be creative and not use too much energy was through art. After purchasing a Dremel Tool, he selected a piece of wood from a fallen Redwood tree and gave it to me to create. Immediately I saw a troll. At this point, Mother Nature's One of a Kind Art was formed and the step into selling and stocking artwork began. Stocking, however, has not happened as we found each piece took so long to make by the time we finished with one it was gone and we were working on the next. The ever growing demand for this type of art has been overwhelming. We have used our art work as a bargaining tool in obtaining services needed, when cash was not available and the art was. As many are aware, bartering has been in existence since Man Kind has been able to trade goods for services. Up to this point most of our work has either been given away as gifts, bartered for services or traded. some has sold these being the higher end pieces. We have work in Vets offices, Chiropractor offices and in homes located in California, North Dakota, Colorado and Washington. interest is growing and we hope to make our art a staple in a unique field, one which, until recent years, was not readily available.
