Ending Worldwide E Waste Dumping Overseas To this day, huge percentages of the world's electronic waste, sent to be recycled, ends up in China and India. There, migrant workers dismantle, melt and refine it by hand with minimal protection, poisoning themselves and their communities. However, many of these countries do have responsible refurbishing operations which we believe are an excellent method to reuse some of our end-of-life electronics. Most of the e waste shipped to these areas comes right from the USA, which means many of our fellow American recycling companies are the culprits. AER was formed around the mission and cause of putting an end to the environmental dangers of irresponsible smelting and recycling, but does encourage exporting for reuse and refurbishment.
