Laura Smith founded the My Kid Shuttle service in Denton, Texas, to provide transportation for students between extracurricular events and keep them off the street and accounted for. After it proved successful and popular with parents in other cities, the business model was enhanced, and My Kid Shuttle was sold in 2010. The company experienced tremendous growth and expansion since 2007, growing from a single shuttle service to an entire network of licensed businesses across the United States. My Kid Shuttle's Start a Kid Shuttle program continues to expand by encouraging entrepreneurs to adopt environmentally sound practices for key demographics and design more luxurious chauffeur services based on the same business model.
