My first love for baking was inspired by my Grandmother, who we called Nanna, when I was just a teenager. Her kitchen was no bigger than a large walk-in closet, but in that little area she made the most incredible cakes, cookies, pies, breads, biscuits, and dumplings.My first bakery in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts afforded me an opportunity to create breads. I didn't have a bread mixer at the time, but out of pure enthusiasm for the craft, I would make a variety of breads simply using a large bucket and my hands. No matter how many I made they were always gone by noon. I am still crafting breads with the same passion and enthusiasm, although now I am integrating many aspects of life experiences into the breads.
