Belmar Window Shop is owned and operated by Steve Beaudoin and Kathleen Alberding, the son and daughter of Belmar Window Shop's founder, Robert Beaudoin. The business has humble beginnings. It started as a one man operation in a garage apartment on "H Street" in 1975. Robert was a widowed father of five for ten years when he moved back to his hometown to start a new chapter in his extraordinary life story. He worked hard to provide an opportunity for some of his family to join him in the business and they did. Today, Belmar Window Shop is the largest supplier of Hunter Douglas Custom Shutters in the Northeast USA. Belmar is a seaside community centrally located on the Jersey Shore a few miles south of Asbury Park.
