Bee-Jay Bait was originally founded in 1950 by two brothers Rudy and Bob Zurbuchen in North Kansas City. It is on the third owner. Two men in St. Joseph Missour, Don Leupold & Mike Schultz, have bought all the rights to the bait, and will be manufacturing it in St. Joseph, Missouri. The new owners have been in business in another industry, and are well established, and have every intention to put Bee-Jay in the top ten. They have the original recipe from 1950 from the Zurbuchen family. Don & Mike decided that Bee-Jay bait would be a great opportunity for them and plan to re-establish the catfish bait well known by many. They will be growing a larger product line other than catfish bait in the near future.
